Understanding Frigidity

What makes a frigid woman? Is this the result of aging, the arrival of menopause or something else?

Such as impotence, female sexual dysfunction or frigidity in women is often a result of fears deeply rooted in psychological factors and childhood bindings. The condition can occur in various ways. Some women do not have sexual feelings for one reason or another, while others have strong desires but find little satisfaction from the sexual act. This can be accomplished by pain, anxiety or inadequate lubrication.

"Sexual dysfunction is broadly defined as the inability to fully enjoy sexual relations. In particular, sexual dysfunctions are disorders that interfere with the full cycle of sexual response. These conditions make it difficult for a person or to enjoy having sex. Although sexual dysfunction rarely threatens physical health, can take a heavy psychological toll, which in depression, anxiety and debilitating feelings of failure, "said Answers.com.

Frightening sexual experiences in childhood can contribute to frigidity. Poverty can instill fear in a woman to have children and take abstinence after sex. A solid religious formation without realizing that sex is part of the divine plan can cultivate an indifferent attitude towards the opposite sex.

Ignorance of sex and inadequate sex education can also lead to irrational fears of pregnancy and motherhood. Women who fall into this category often regard sex as an unpleasant marital duty. If a woman is taught early in life that sex is sinful or shameful act, which can grow to take these erroneous beliefs which can then lead to marital discord and cripple their sexual development.

The fault, however, can not be placed entirely on the education of women because there are cases where frigidity is caused by her husband. Sometimes the momentum is there, but can be hampered by other problems caused by man. Often it is because of communication problems.

An inexperienced or awkward husband, for example, can not wake your partner properly, if it is not responding to sex. In this case, frigidity in women is due to their lack of response to stimulation of his inexperienced husband or sexual approach. Man must change or correct your approach to your partner to enjoy sex.

Sexual desire of a young woman may also appear dormant and inactive during the first months of marriage. Not being aware of their needs and sexual ability, it may not be sensitive to the man who is generally more aggressive. In this case, it is the man to awaken their impulses and develop their answers without forcing on it.
